OUR STORY

Bravo Baking Co bakes plant-based, organic, all natural dog treats and sells them in environmentally friendly compostable packaging.  Our products are made in small batches in Bend, OR, and Bravo Baking Co is 100% woman owned. 

We are inspired by the desire to feed our doggo, Frank, the same healthy, plant-based diet that has sustained us for years.  We lead an active, athletic life, participating in cycling, skate skiing, hiking, or strength conditioning, depending upon the seasons and what moves us.  

A plant-based diet for both humans and our pets is scientifically proven to contribute to greater health and longevity than a typical diet of processed foods and animal products.  In addition, our diet is cruelty-free, and promotes a healthier environment. 

Over 80 billion animals are slaughtered each year for human consumption worldwide and generate an estimated 15-17% of all greenhouse gases. Most commercial pet food is composed of animal renderings, which is simply the leftover materials processed in a food production plant, including offal from slaughterhouses and whole animals that die on farms or in transit. Animal offal is defined as animals' viscera, heads, bones, and blood. Why feed your dog something that you wouldn't eat?

However, pet owners are finally waking up to what they are really feeding their fur babies.  The plant-based pet food market is a small, but rapidly growing segment of the overall pet food market.
